The iRecovery Stick is a mobile data access and artefact discovery utility designed for iPhone and iPad devices where lawful access and valid credentials are available.

It enables structured interaction with iOS devices to surface contextual digital information that may assist in understanding device usage, activity patterns, and digital context.

When authorized access is provided, a working copy of available device data can be captured for review, allowing analysis to continue without prolonged interaction with the handset itself.

This supports controlled examination workflows and reduces handling of the original device once data extraction has been completed.

Review is performed against the extracted data set, enabling users to navigate, assess, and bookmark artefacts of interest.

These artefacts may originate from system records, application data structures, file metadata, timestamps, media headers, and residual application traces that collectively assist in building timelines and identifying correlations.

From both an investigative and vulnerability-awareness perspective, this process highlights how contextual information may persist or reappear on mobile devices due to operating system behavior, application activity, and third-party data handling.

While extracted data may not always be suitable for formal evidential submission, the insight gained is commonly used in corroborative, decision-support, and incident-review roles.

Key Capabilities

Authorized iOS device access
Supports structured access to iPhone and iPad devices where lawful permission and valid credentials are available.

Working data capture
Enables creation of a reviewable data set so analysis can continue without ongoing device connection.

Artefact review and bookmarking
Allows analysts to identify, isolate, and mark artefacts relevant to timelines, usage patterns, and contextual review.

Metadata and activity insight
Surfaces timestamps, file headers, and application-related indicators that assist in understanding event sequencing.

Typical Use Scenarios

Investigations and incident clarification
Used to support corroboration, validate accounts, and guide investigative direction involving iOS devices.

Claims, disputes, and internal reviews
Assists insurers, assessors, and organizations in reviewing mobile device context relevant to claims or internal matters.

Vulnerability and exposure awareness
Demonstrates how artefacts may persist due to application behavior, system processes, or third-party data leakage.

Operational Progression

iOS artefact discovery is often an initial or intermediate step within broader mobile investigations.

As requirements expand to include cross-device correlation, application-level artefact reconstruction, or formal evidential handling, organizations typically transition to comprehensive mobile forensic platforms.

For teams requiring structured mobile investigation workflows or evidential-grade examination, we recommend reviewing expanded forensic solutions or contacting us directly to discuss appropriate configurations.
