150° Wide-Angle Coverage
The defining feature of the Encounter 150 is its 150° ultra-wide viewing angle.
A conventional portable recorder can concentrate heavily on the main subject. The Encounter 150 captures considerably more of the scene, including people and activity taking place to either side and within the background.
This wider perspective can make a significant difference when footage is reviewed later. Someone entering the scene, movement behind the main subject or an event occurring at the edge of the frame may provide important additional context.
During inspections and site visits, the same wide view allows an area of interest to be recorded together with much more of its surrounding environment.
Designed for Body-Worn Recording
The slim vertical housing lends itself naturally to body-worn positioning.
Placed in a breast or chest pocket, the upper section can remain slightly exposed with the camera lens clear of the pocket edge.
This creates a practical recording position without needing to hold the camera, allowing activity to be captured naturally while moving, working or interacting.
Combined with the 150° lens, the Encounter 150 records much more of what is happening around the wearer instead of producing a narrow view directly ahead.
Date & Time Stamped Recording
Recorded footage can include a date and time stamp, providing an immediate chronological reference when reviewing events.
This can be particularly valuable where video is being used to document an interaction, inspection, delivery, site condition or other event where the timing and sequence of activity may later matter.
Combined with the wide-angle view, the recording preserves both the event itself and more of the surrounding circumstances in which it occurred.
Long Standby & Motion Detection
The Encounter 150 supports both continuous and motion-triggered recording.
A fully charged 2400mAh 3.7V Li-ion battery provides up to approximately 7 hours of continuous recording.
For intermittent activity, maximum battery motion mode provides up to 25 days standby, with motion detection operating across approximately 4–7 metres / 13–23 feet.
This provides the flexibility to record continuously when required or remain ready for activity over a much longer period.
Night Vision
Integrated night vision provides coverage up to approximately 15 feet, allowing recording to continue in dark or reduced-light environments.
This extends the usefulness of the Encounter 150 beyond normal daylight conditions and makes it suitable for evening work, poorly illuminated interiors and other situations where lighting cannot always be controlled.

Local Wi-Fi Viewing
Local Wi-Fi viewing allows the camera image to be checked within approximately 100 feet using the Cam Widget app on compatible Android and iOS devices or Camera Widget software for Windows and Mac.
This makes it easy to check the camera angle and confirm how much of the scene falls within the 150° field of view before recording.
For body-worn use, the live view is particularly useful for checking that the recorder is positioned at the correct height and that the lens remains unobstructed.

The Cam Vox Encounter 150 supports microSD cards up to 256GB.
